Well drained of oil?: Yeah pretty good but the fingers are a little sticky.
Satisfied?: Pleasantly fed

Comments: As I walked closer to this empty dockside chippy kiosk on a wind swept soggy night, it was hard to know if they were open or if the staff had completely abandoned it. I walked in and the girl hidden behind the counter jumped out to greet me which almost gave me a heart attack. When I asked for a fish and a half scoop I was met with a confused look as she asked me what size. WHAT SIZE? It took me a minute to figure out that they sell fish and chips in S, M and L sizes. I opted for S size. It was kind of a system reminiscent of smorgasbord Chinese takeaways.
The chips were pretty decent however were a touch dry in the middle. The quantity was at "just enough" levels, especially considering the price. Seasoning was a little on the light side but the flavor of the potato was nice enough to not really call for more salt.
The fish was a nice long slab of hoki or what Tuxedo Winnie the Pooh would call "Blue Grenadier". It was fried and battered very skillfully with crispy skin delightfully hidden on the underside.
Unexpected, this place was actually legit for the price range. My only criticism is that they should replace the oil as it was a bit tacky and is the only reason they were down 1 point for quality. I feel like I've eaten enough and could go out and party all night but I'm not.
